1. The service
Aven is a study tool that helps users create, organize, and review notes, flashcards, AI-generated study materials, and related learning content.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to use Aven only for lawful purposes.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the notes, flashcards, files, images, text, and other content you upload or create in Aven. You grant Aven permission to store, process, display, and use your content only as needed to provide and improve the service.
Do not upload content that you do not have the right to use, or content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.
4. AI-generated content
Aven may use artificial intelligence to generate flashcards, summaries, explanations, or study materials. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying study materials before relying on them.
Aven is not a substitute for professional, academic, medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Aven may offer paid features through subscriptions such as Aven Pro. Subscription prices, billing periods, and included features are shown at the time of purchase.
Purchases made through the Google Play Store are processed by Google Play. Subscription management, cancellation, renewals, and refund requests are handled through Google Play according to Google Play's terms and policies.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund prior payments unless required by law or approved by the app store or payment provider.
6. Trials, promotions, and beta access
Aven may offer free trials, promotional access, beta access, or temporary premium access. These offers may be changed, limited, or discontinued at any time.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Aven, interfere with the service, reverse engineer restricted parts of the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload harmful code, or use Aven to create or distribute unlawful or harmful content.
8. Availability and changes
Aven may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We may update features, pricing, limits, or availability over time.
9. Limitation of liability
Aven is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aven is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
10. Termination
You may stop using Aven at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create risk for Aven or other users.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
